Instrumented Bone Preserving (Ungekoppelte Ellenbogen Prothese)

Das von J. Pooley entwickelte System der knochensparenden Operationstechnik ist  eine Weiterentwicklung der bekannten und bewährten ungekoppelten Kudo Ellenbogen Prothese. Durch ein korrekt ausrichtbares Instrumentarium gestattet iBP ein exaktes Implantieren der Prothesenteile in der erforderlichen anatomischen Ausrichtung. Dank der kondylären Form des Humerusprothesenteils und des umfangreichen Spektrums an verfügbaren Größen ist nur eine minimale Entfernung des vorhandenen Knochenmaterials notwendig.

Merkmale:

• Die einzelnen Komponenten sind nicht miteinander gekoppelt, die Gelenkfläche ist nicht kongruent. Die individuelle Anatomie wird dadurch respektiert ⁽¹⁾.
• Obwohl ungekoppelt, wird die Stabilität des Ellenbogens durch die richtige Ausrichtung, durch die Wiederherstellung der Armlänge und des Muskeltonus optimal erreicht.
• Zur korrekten Ausrichtung der Implantate werden bei der iBP-Operationstechnik anatomische Anhaltspunkte genutzt.^(2,4)
• Das Oberflächendesign erfordert nur eine minimale Abtragung am vorhandenen Knochen.
• Humeruskomponenten aus einer Kobalt-Chrom-Legierung sowie Ulnakomponenten aus Titan mit einer direktformgepressten ArCom⁽⁶⁾ Polyethylengleitfläche sorgen für  einen minimalen Verschleiß.
• Die poröse Titanbeschichtung des Humerus- und des Ulnaschafts gewährleistet eine ausgezeichnete Biokompatibilität und fördert das Einwachsverhalten am Knochen ⁽⁷⁾.
